Email report delivery
StaleSweep can email a cost-report summary — with the full report PDF attached — to anyone you nominate, either on demand or on a recurring schedule.
Email needs no connection step: there is no app to install, no bot token, and no mailbox access. You add an address, StaleSweep sends to it, and the recipient can be anyone — finance, a manager, a shared inbox — whether or not they have a StaleSweep login. Because of that, treat the recipient list as a place where report contents leave your workspace, and review it the way you would any distribution list.
Step 1 — Add a recipient
- Open Notifications in StaleSweep and find the email card.
- Enter the address (for example finance@yourcompany.com) and an optional label such as Finance team. The label is what schedules and the delivery list show, so it is worth setting for shared inboxes.
- Save. The recipient is enabled by default and can be toggled off without deleting it.
Step 2 — Send a test
Use Send teston the recipient to confirm delivery before you rely on a schedule. If it doesn’t arrive, the usual causes are a typo in the address or your mail provider quarantining a first-time sender with an attachment — check the recipient’s spam folder and allow-list the sender before assuming the integration is broken.
Step 3 — Send now, or set a schedule
Send now delivers the current report immediately — useful before a meeting. For recurring delivery, add a schedule with:
- Recipient: which saved recipient to send to.
- Report type: the same report types available on the Reports page (e.g. executive summary, full inventory).
- Scope: all connected AWS accounts, or a single connection.
- Cadence: daily, every other day, weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly, or every 2 months — with a time of day. Times are shown in your local timezone and stored in UTC.
Each recipient can have several schedules — for example a weekly executive summary and a monthly full inventory. Schedules can be paused and resumed without losing their configuration, and deleting a recipient removes its schedules with it.
